Job Overview

The IT Support Administrator will oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide onboarding training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer hardware, laptop, mobile device, application software, network maintenance, and industry trends to keep us on the cutting edge. Engaging with employees throughout the company, the IT support person will have an immediate impact on the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and maintaining computers, networks, systems and printers.
  • Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
  • Coordinating with Finance on the procurement of work tools including facilitation of payment related to IT assets.
  • Assist in the application, renewal and maintenance of company issued mobile devices.
  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  • Managing work tools deployment for employees during onboarding in collaboration with HR and with the offboarding (return of work tools)
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Performing documentation of processes and practices.
  • Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  • Liaise with vendors from quotation and procurement to maintenance of hardware devices and IT services.
  • Managing and maintenance of IT assets (laptops, mobile phones, conference devices, printers, software and subscriptions).
  • Keeping IT asset records up to date using ITAM tools.
  • Other duties as required by business.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.

Experience:

  • Experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
    • Computers (Macbook, Laptops) and Mobile devices (Android and iOS)
    • Operating Systems (MacOS, Windows)
    • Printers, Projectors, Conference room TVs. Phones
    • Wireless Access Points, Router/Firewall
    • Google Workspace, Ticketing System, Mobile device management

Skills & Competencies:

  • Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
  • Operational excellence in providing IT support; able to overachieve results with little supervision
  • Superb organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relational and able to interface with colleagues and partners of different backgrounds
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Has great organizational abilities
